Overnight diaster made succes!

So I'm pretty sure we've all those nights we stayed over someone's house unexpectedly .  Having to

sleep in your clothes, or worse your makeup.  It's been times where I had to settle for a tshirt and

sleep in pounds of makeup, just awful. Waking up with eyeliner smudged foundation left on the

pillow or couch , talk about emabarrasment.

Well here's the fix to raccoon eyes and bad breath the morning after.

Overnight bags! Find a cute duffel bag or big enough purse to put all the essentials in.

Victoria Secret, Ross,TJ Max, any store like those you can find some pretty cute overnight bag.

I know you're reading this like ok we get it overnight bag is important, but how can it benefit it you

if it's at home. The key is leaving it in the trunk of your car or on your backseat. This eliminates the

process of packing one and/or forgetting it if it's already packed.

Whether you're staying over a boo's house or a night at your girlfriends here's some things to carry.

Any skin care products you use: When going shopping get two of whatever skin care products you use, and if on a budget like me get travel size products,

Makeup remover wipes: This can replace skin care products if you just want to cleanse your face of

makeup just for the night,

Change of clothes: This can come in handy if you have somewhere to be the next day and may not want to go home to change. But the essential clothing to pack would be a tshirt and jeans.

Pair of flat shoes: Essential after a hard night of partying. I'm pretty sure you do not want to drive home in 6 in heels.

Deodorant: Self Explanatory

Tooth Brush/Mouthwash: In my case I would pack toothpaste and mouth wash because I like a certain toothpaste.

Pjs: Pants are preferable because you never know how cool a person may keep their house. Throw in a pair of socks as well.

Those are all the essentials but me personally I'd add some few items.

Here are my extras:

An overnight makeup bag:

I'll do a separate post on what to carry in an overnight makeup bag.

Slippers

Hair ties, wraps

Condoms

Those are just a few things. Every person's bag will be different depending on their needs. Now with these products being in your car especially during the summer season be sure to check products and make sure everything is still good to use.

What are somethings you would add? Leave comments.

Ocean Candy Inspired look

The makeup you see by the video here. I tried to find a picture but I couldn't but if you go to her instagram you can see the inspiration. Her IG name is theglamagal. I came accross her youtube while browsing for WOC makeup tutorials. I've already done one but this was the one I was most excited to do.
On my eyes I used. The usual primer, and bh cosmetics 120 palette

first edition. I used a royal ocean blue in my crease. Mixing a light

blue and light turquoise color. It didn't give me the affect I wanted

so I used my elf makeup set and seal and applied another turqoise

from that palette. Then going back in with that royal blue and

darkening the crease.

It doesn't show in the pictures but I used a nyx glitter line in a gold

to add a more dramatic affect.

For my lashes I cut half of one and just added it to my outer lashes

to add more drama to the look. On the lower lash

line I used a mixture of lime greens, and yellow.

For my lips I used coastal scents liner  in espresso then going

over it with milani's lipstick in raspberry rush then going over

it with Milani's lipstick in rose hip!

Face and eyebrows are still the same as before.

Hoping to do more makeup looks for you guys and tutorial soon.

Black Dhalia

I've been obsessing over bold lips lately! I've been trying to find a way to wear the oh so daring

black lipstick . Although mine is really liner , eyeshadow and clear gloss. For this look I got

inspiration from a youtuber by the name of The Island Beauty. She did a video of goth glam and

instantly I was sold.

Now truth be told I'm one to step out my comfort zone but this is way out my comfort zone. I

always thought I wouldn't be able to pull it off because of my complexion, but I think it suited me.

However I didn't like that much. Maybe it was a little to dark even for me. I'm one of those makeup

artist that likes to keep it simple. Lol weird I know, but I like natural makeup more than anything. I'll

play in colors and experiment but on the usual I'll grab for my naked basics palette.

On to the products:

On my eyes I used my usual primer Nyx in white
Using Crave from the Naked Basics creating a triangle shape but not going all the way into the crease.
In the crease I used faint blending it out and using venus as my highlight

I used a lilac purple from on of the Nyx run way palette which is now all broken. I was so mad because I hardly used that palette now to of the shadows from it are gone.

For my lips I used Nyx Liner in black, lining my entire lips. Then applying crave all over . For finishing touches I added a clear gloss with shimmer.

My face and brows are still the same from previous post.

XOXO

Thank you taking the time out and reading my post!

One skirt Three Outfits

So lately I've been putting together

outfits on Polyvore. Until recently I

had an epiphany . I said to myself

"why put together imaginary

clothing I won't be able to buy".

So today in the midst of my

excitement I grabbed some clothes

and put three outfits together out of

one skirt.

Casual, formal, and semi casual.

The main piece the skirt came from

Marshall's. My all time favorite place

to shop.

The top and shoes from Plato's, the

purse from another consignment

store, and the vest was giving to me.

I thought the tee and vest would add

a very casual feel to the skirt.

Dressing it down but empahsizing it

with the leopard.

Next outfit is more formal. Top and

shoes from Plato's and belt from

Charlotte Russe. The peplum top

adds a more girly feel accentuating the waist line with and black belt with gold accents.

The pop of purple adds color to the look making it not so chic but fun and chic.

The last which was loved by my IG

followers the most. A sheer mint top

embellished with gold studding.

This top if I can recall came from

Ross. I added the leopard shoes to

give the outfit more attitude.

Now in my fashion days I would

rock a small round floppy hat with

this look but to each is own.. It's

dressy but still casual . Girly but not overdoing it. I'm a tomboy at heart but I live for a semi girly fit.

I will be putting on all of these outfits and showing what they look like live!

xoxo

Royally

 This look was created

out of boredom. I

wanted to try the blue

lips more now because

I recently just colored

my back black.

It's rare you'll see me

with black hair.I must

admit it's growing on

me. I can do more

colorful looks without

worrying about it

clashing with my hair.

( Im just noticing the

unblendend highlight,

my apologies.)

Now lets get to the products.
  Eyes I used: Nyx

white base primer.

Urban decay naked

basics on my lids.

Using faint in my c

crease, mixing

naked 2 w.o.s, and

venus. Going over it

twice with venus.

My usual liquid

liner and my brows

are filled in with a

wet and wild liner.

On my lips I used a

cream eyeshadow

from a revlon palette mixing it with the darkest blue from my bh cosmetics palette.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post I will try to post more consistently .

Day to Night

This is my day to night looks using the Chloe and Isabel jewelry line. I really love the statement

pieces so I build the outfits around them. The day outfit is something I'm obsessing over now,

KIMONOS! The kimono is from Body Central as well as the tank top.The shorts are from Top Shop

and shoes from Charlotte Russe. I choose to use the SeaScape Collar Necklace for a color block of

coral and blue. Also if  you like that necklace hurry and get it before times out, it's limited edition. I

added the gold accessories of the Multi row snake chain bracelet  and the Organic open circle drop

earrings. For makeup I choose and everyday smokey eye with nude lips, and for a hair a messy or

neat bun.

For night time you want to add a bit more glam so for this look I build the wardrobe around the Deco

Crystal cluster drama neckalce . This piece just scream fabulous. It makes an outfit look expensive

without being expensive. Peplums are all the rave right now. You can dress them up or down. Since

its for a night look we're dressing it up! I really like the quarter length sleeves so if it's quite chill in

your setting you'll be able to stay somewhat warm. The color is perfect for spring/summer . There

wasn't a link for the top but check your local department stores, as well as Charlotte Russe they are

know for their peplums. The shorts are from Forever New. I added mint colored shoes because I just

love mixing colors. The shoes are from Charlotte Russe . Since you already have a statement piece

you want to keep your other accessories at a minimum. So with a statement necklace you want to do

studs, or pearls as your earring. So here I choose the Pave Ball stud earrings and a link bracelet.

For makeup I choose to darken the smokey eye and add some pink to to the nude lips. A top knot or

bun will be great to pull this look together.

Shop all of these pieces Here!

Any questions email me or send me a message on my Twitter or Facebook. Also follow my Instagrams.

Hope you enjoyed this post.

LA Lakers Inspired

As you guys know by now I'm a

pinterest freak. I look for things

soon as I wake up , to before going

to bed. To the left is a picture I saw

and wanted to recreate. I felt I

I never experiment with color

enough. So I stared to do the exact

look but decided it was a little to

dull for me So therefore this lakers

look came about!

Now my brows are still not to my

liking but once I get my desired product

they be up to par. For now I use Wet n

wild Liner in mink brown and just

set them with a makeup sealer I know, smh.

I primed my eyes with nyx eye primer in

white. I used my naked basic palette color

in naked 2 as my transition color, and the

brightest yellow from my Bh Cosmetics

120 palette. A few coasts of maybeline

falsies mascara. On my face LA concealer

in fawn, using it as a foundation blending

it with my blending sponge. Setting it with

my Iman face powder. On my lips is my

Milani statement lipstick in Violet volt,

with liner in a plum color. I patted the a

white base on the middle blending it out

giving the lipstick a more vibrant color.

I really liked this look because it was very different from

my usual.

Summer Loving!

Today's Look was a bit free handed!

Blues, oranges and and lime green. I been on

pinterest surfing again looking for a colorful

look and just decided to free hand.

I started with my priming my face with my elf

face primer. I used the dark brown in wet n wild's

brow/liner pencil. Lightly filling it in , higlighting

the bottom with my LA concealer in cool tan.

Next I primed my eyes with NYX's white shadow

base. Going in my crease with a dark orange in

120 palette making sure to blend! Putting a

mixture of a dark matte blue and a dark shimmer

blue on my lid. Saw how dark the shadow was

and decided to ad a light shimmery aqua to my

lids. Now my intentions was to leave it as is but

playing around I added lime green to the inner

corner of my eyes. I did have on lashes but they

were to big for my face lol. Drag queen lashes are not for me. So I removed them making the wing

thicker and adding a few more coats of mascara.

On my face I used LA concealer

in fawn all over my face setting it

with my Iman powder. I used a burnt

orange color from my bh cosmetics

blush palette. On my lips is costal

scents liner in expresso mixed with

Mac's Angel ( which is my now

must have). I love this lipstick and

have been choosing it over my bold

colors. My intentions was to add

Milani's violet volt but seeming

as Angel is my favorite I went with

that.
 I hope you guys

enjoyed this look.

I'm so ready for bold

and bright summer

looks.

I also set it Urban

Decay setting spray

for Oily skin and I don't

think it's working for

me. My skin looks

super oily in these pics.

Follow my instagram

please and thank you.

The Evolution of My Style

Before I get started let me just say I'm mortified to show you guys these pictures but realizing we all

have to grow into our own. This post is mainly about how much I've grown into my fashion sense.

Let the embarrasment

begin! Where do I start with the big ass hat or

outfit it's self. Why didn't nobody tell me

was not OK! lol That short hair does not mix

with that hat . Well in my eyes it doesn't.

Then that god awful top and skirt. I'm so

disgusted lol . Look at my shoes (tyrna be

cute). My ankles do not look good in these heels

they were cute shoes

but no mam those do not work with

that!. The right picture is a major

throwback before the hair cut ,

before the baby , everything.

One I had on tank top with a tub

top. Mainly because at the time I

wasn't comfortable with having

my back out. Then I had on some

Bermuda cut off shorts lol smh.

Last picture was my

19th birthday when I

was just getting into

makeup . Eyebrows not

done no foundation,

lipstick or nada. I will

never be caught

dressed up without

my face done now.

Now I do go out

without makeup when

I'm just running errands.

Lets start with that god

forsaken ugly off the

shoulder shirt ughh. On

top of that it has sexy

written on it. Why just why ! Then I had the nerve to put double hoops in my ears. I was just screaming for help.

I'm just happy I stepped out my comfort zone, became more confident in my style.Below are just a

few pictures of my recent outfits. The one in the orange cami and harem pants is what really put my

confidence back on the map. I think this outfit really took my style back to the top. I had so many

compliments on this outfit . I think the biggest thing for me was money. I'm a single mother I didn't

work, so I couldn't always get the latest things, or buy new things all the time. With that being said

I found a way around it. PLATO'S! I first discovered Plato's by my aunt one weekend I stayed over

and didn't have any extra clothes to go to school so we went to platos. In all honesty I was a spoiled

child , my grandmother would buy me all kinds of clothes and shoes. So used clothes were never

appeasing to me. I was just to big headed to "thrift shop". But we walked in Plato's and I feel in love.

So I've been on the Plato's bandwagon for about maybe four years now. I'm a bargainista I live for

thrifting, there's so many things you can take and make several outfits out of. Anyway I'm rambling

but that's how this outfit came about.
This is just a collage of recent outfits. As you can see I'm versatile. I hate just having one style to

define. I want to be that person where the critics have no clue how to describe me. I feel once your

style is defined you become predictable. People know what to expect from you. With me you never

know. Although I lean a lot towards tomboy, I'm just a lot comfortable that way. But I like getting

cute and being girly as well. My sister always tell me I'm so colorful and that she wishes she could

pull off my style. But she could if she was to ever step out her comfort zone of your everyday

neutrals. Not gone lie to I dressed in all black one day and it just made me feel more professional,

although I had my pop of color.

The purpose of this post was really for me to see how much I've grown. I love the person I'm

becoming. It's not what about other people think of you it's what you think and accept about yourself.

Confidence comes from within. Take risks and forget the haters. I get stared at all the time and it

makes me feel good. Where I'm from everyone looks the same and sometimes I see a few rocking a

few of my looks, but that's inspiration. I never try to be a follower I aim for leadership.  Own your

style, WERK GIRL!

We all have to grow and in a few years when I'm a little older and my style has changed again I'll

look back at the recent pics and think the same thing I thought of the throwback pics. Life is about

growing. As you grow your style is forever changing.

In the Mood for Nude!

I've been searching and searching for the perfect nude

pink lip. The rave was all about about Mac's Angel

AKA Kim K's favorite . With me being slight obsessed

with her makeup I had to try it out myself. First Idk

how many youtube videos I watched, how many

Pinterest post I looked before I was convinced. I was

dying to get to the MAC counter to get this baby and

my luck they had it in stock! I know I know I could've

ordered it online but seriously I could not wait. I have

been on this search forever, so why wait for a package

to come raising my anxiety even more.  In

different setting this lipstick can look many ways. On

the right you see pretty baby pink when in reality

it's a more darker neutral , more flesh tone.  Lighting

and different photography equipment makes it look

different. As you can see at the bottom left how it

appears more nude. Why did I start this habit? I've

bought two MAC lipsticks this week and have an

urgency to buy two more the weekend! Help! My

addiction is becoming reckless. But can you blame

me. Their lipsticks are so creamy and smell oh so

delish! I paired it with costal scents mauve liner and

an off brand lipgloss I think you can get them out of

Lane Bryant.

My eyes are simple. I

used Bh cosmetics 120

Palette (the original). I

used a mixture of a pale

yellow and rose gold

color from the second

layer on my lid. With

navy mixed with black

in the crease.

My face is the same as

in previous posts.

Revlon colorstay

foundation, and Iman

pressed powder.

Brows filled in with

dark brown shadow

gone over with elf's

brow duo in medium.

Hope you guys liked this post!

TIps For Shopping WIth Young Children

This post is influenced on some personal experiences, along with trial and error. If you don't know I

I have a three year old son, and he's all boy. When I say all boy I mean no patience, always climbing

on things, always running etc.. I honest to God hated shopping with him but how's a kid

suppose to know how to behave in public if you never take them out. I would come home infuriated

with a banging headache because by the end of the shopping trip he's done everything he possibly can

to aggravate me. Being that he's my first child and I'm a young mother I have more patience for him.

Lol my son is just a wild child, and I let him be a boy. I refuse to continuously yell at him or give a

spanking in public. But don't get it twisted when he most absolutely deserves it he gets disciplined.

Lately now that we go shopping he really has no patience. Soon as we walk in a store its "Ma I wanna

go outside" lol. But I'm rambling on so let's get to the tips.

1. Always always make sure they use the bathroom before you go out. And if they're just learning

how to go to the potty have a spare change of clothes. This to was a trial and error situation. My

grandmother would tell me all the time to make sure he had a change a clothes. And that moment I

would forget there goes an accident!

2. Pack a snack bag and kid size bottle of their favorite beverage. This keeps them occupied while

you're shopping, and depending on where you're at please watch their little grabby hands. Because if

you're in a clothing store the last thing you want to to do is pay for something your child destroyed

with a stain.

3. Let the child interact with the shopping. I always let J pay and put things on the counter. It also

teaches them that nothing is free. Only thing I don't do is let him swipe my card and press any

buttons. Maybe once he's a little older then we can move to that stage. Also if you're paying with cash

and get any change back that's a dollar give it to the child. You can spare it stop being selfish lol.Tell

the child that they can buy anything they want that's a dollar. I gave my son a dollar and that just

made his day. He walked in the shoe store in hopes of buying some shoes, he held the dollar out to

the sales lady, it was so cute.  He ended buying a soda with ( this was the only time I let him have

soda) . So let them interact whether its shopping for groceries or clothes. Have  them put things on

the counter and maybe even carry the bags if they want. This prevents them from being bored.

4. Now I don't use a stroller, or those back packs with the leashes, that's just something I do not care

for. Always make sure to hold your child's hand and if be said you let them wonder around make

sure they're in your sight. Nothing fears a parent more than losing a child due to an abduction.

However if the child turns up and just happened to be somewhere in the store explain to them why

it's important to stay with you. If you can restrain from a spanking because let's be honest they're

just kids and what to kids like to do ,explore!

These are just some things I practice. I would like to know if you have any tips of your own.  The big

thing to me is interaction. The more they get to interact the less of a headache the shopping trip will

be. All these drift from them having tantrums in the middle of the store and everyone's looking at

you and your child. We've all been there and we've all been the people who's looking. It's quite

embarrassing when it's your child. Also pack a light snack for yourself as well a water bottle. Keeps

your energy up with you child. Don't forget to pack wipes! This is something I have yet to do myself.

Wipes come quite in handy, remember  that snack in tip 1 , depending on the snack you will have to

clean you kid's hands.

If you enjoyed this post let me know in a comment below, also leave your tips.

There will be a post on dealing with screaming children while shopping next. As well as grocery

shopping with your kids.

First date crisis!

FIRST DATE CRISIS

Now considering all my readers are adults or if not all my younger readers may relate to this post as well. First date my goodness are they an annoyance. You’re nervous, overwhelmed, and all these other emotions you just can’t fathom.  I want to take you from those emotions to having a successful, confident date.
First don’t be afraid to ask someone out, its 2014 ask that person out! If they reject you the hell with them they’re missing out on an awesome person.  Now with an acceptance please don’t suggest movie and dinner. With the thought of it being all romantic and such it’s boring and cliché for a first date. Here are the reasons why: A first date is supposed to about getting to know that person.  How can you do that in a lightly dimmed place, quietly talking over a big ass table as well as trying to get a decent conversation in between bites? BORING! Then to a movie afterwards, this is self-explanatory.  Offer an adventurous date where you’re both active, and that personality of yours just beams.
Adventurous dates can range from mini golf, rock climbing, even chatting over ice cream is better than dinner and a movie.  In this setting you’re not forced to put on some fancy get up and you get to be yourself.  And competition is always fun. Don’t control the conversation either like an interview process. Initiate conversation and allow your date to ask questions, and have a response. No one wants to go on date and all you’re talking about is yourself. Be a listener as well. Eye contact, smiling, are great body languages that send off a good vibe.  No talk about ex’s , children (if you have any) or anything from the past. It’s really rude bringing up your ex or past. It gives the vibe that your not over them obviously because you brought them up. They’re an ex for an reason, if you still have feelings for said ex do not force yourself on a date just to get over them. Nothing is ever good rushed. But more will be talked about this in another post.  I say no talking about your kids because in my opinion you want the person to get to know you first before ruling out if they want to date you or not because you have kids. It’s sad but it’s true the minute someone may mention kids the other person may be turned off due to the fact of them of the extra baggage that comes with the kids. Extra baggage could be an ex husband/ ex wife or just the father/ mother of the kids. Not knowing if there will be drama or not so it draws the person away from you. Good topics would be anything from their interests, hobbies, jobs etc.  The job topic should not be an “Where do you work, how much do you make” rather it should be “What do you do, and how did you get into that?” The question gives opportunity to offer a more in depth response.
Basically good conversation and fun is all you need for a successful date that hopefully leads to a second.  If you guys have more tips feel free to leave them in the comments.

Cat Eye!

Giving you drama darling!

Today was one of those hey I want to get out

my comfort zone and try something  new!

I was inspired by a picture I found on pinterest,

which by the way I use for everything.

However my look got more dramatic than the

picture.

The picture  you

see to the right

was my inspiration. Now as you see her look has drama but not

at all as dramatic as mine. But a little drama never hurt anybody.

First attempt  at a cat eye but hey practice makes first for anything.
 On to my look:

I started out with a small shape in the crease with a

eyeliner pencil. TIP! Make sure whatever eyeliner

you're using goes on smoothly.Nothing worse than

going over your eye with a sketchy eye liner pencil

not to mention it drags the sking. No bueno!

Going over the eyeliner with a matte black eye

shadow. Blending is  key but don't blend to much

you lose the shape.  Filling in the lid with that same

black shadow making sure to cover the lid. Patting

the color on

the lid to give more emphasis on the black.

The winged part was really a spontaneous moment.

I did not like the final shape so winging it out

was perfect. Drawing a triangular shape near the

tear duct and just filling it in. The highlight is

something I would change going for a more skin

tone color. I added black liquid liner (why idk)

but on top of that I added NYX glitter liner in a

a gold. My brows are filled in with a dark brown

shadow and went over it with elf's brow duo in

 medium.

I added a few sparse lashes to the outter corner of

my lid. On my lips I outline them with a black liner

blending with my fingers and going over it with my

Milani's lipstick in Black Cherry.

My foundation is Revlon colorstay in toast ( I

usually use carmel but I'm out so in the mean time).

My Powder I used was Iman in earth dark. Setting it

with elf's makeup spray.

I hope you enjoyed this look! Send me pictures you

would like for to recreate at beautybeyondface@gmail.com. Also follow my
